Parliamentary liaison at City of Edinburgh

The agenda for the Scottish Parliament aligns closely with the work of the City of Edinburgh Council. This means that consultations issued by the Scottish Executive and others, as well as Bills in Progress in the Scottish Parliament, are often of direct interest across the Council and have the potential to affect how Council services are provided.

City of Edinburgh Council officers and elected members are active in influencing legislation and regulations on a range of topics from smoking to housing. The Parliamentary Liaison Team works closely with colleagues across the Council to support Edinburgh's case.
