Housing Investment Team

The Housing Investment Team took over the responsibility for the management of the affordable housing investment funding in Edinburgh from Communities Scotland in 2004 and has been successful in increasing the supply of high-quality new and improved affordable homes in Edinburgh.  

The team’s key priorities are:

• To plan, secure & deliver the housing investment needed to enable the Council to meet its housing goals.
• To co-ordinate the investment funding available to the Council to ensure best use of available resources.
• To deliver the Comprehensive Spending Review & the 2009-14 Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) for Edinburgh
• To work with partners to deliver the Affordable Housing Planning Policy.

An annual review of the programme is published by the Council demonstrating the Housing Investment Team’s performance against targets set by the Scottish Government. The 2008/2009 report and previous editions are available to download in the Information and Statistics section.
