Housing Advice and Information StrategyThe Housing Advice and Information Strategy (PDF, 678kb) is a review of the provision of housing advice and information within the Council. The Strategy will facilitate a move towards pro-active, customer-centred working. Both the quality of advice and information available will enable home seekers to make informed choices, whilst actively participating in finding their home. The Strategy looks at going beyond simply fulfilling our statutory obligations. There is also a Housing Advice and Information Strategy Summary (PDF, 462kb) available. Following this, Edinburgh's Housing Advice Strategy (PDF, 2.07mb) was launched in November 2005. The strategy aims to provide the quality and consistency of housing advice across the City, by working towards the National Standards for Housing Information and Advice Services. This strategy has a list of aims and objectives and an action plan to show how it will meet these. The strategy works in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies operating in Edinburgh.
