Strategy and Investment

Strategy & Investment is part of Services for Communities and we are responsible for developing and implementing the city’s regeneration and housing strategies, securing investment and commissioning services. Strategy & Investment is made up of four teams supported by a Business Support Team.

The four teams in Strategy and Investment are:

The Commissioning Team commission a range of advice, support and accommodation services to deliver the Council’s Homelessness Strategy and (what was) the Supporting People Programme.

The Investment Team is responsible for the management and delivery of the Affordable Housing Investment Programme.

The Regeneration Team co-ordinates, plans and manages the regeneration of key housing sites throughout the city and the improvement of public realm in urban centres.

The Strategy Team develops strategies and policies to address issues of housing supply, quality and support. It also carries out and commissions research.
