How much does it cost?

Edinburgh Stair Partnership provides the following services for the annual membership fee of £78 inclusive of VAT per flat per year:

• Annual condition survey of your tenement.
• Recommendations for maintenance or repair with estimates of the costs involved.
• Financial management including collection of payments from owners and settlement of contractors' invoices.
• Attendance at evening meetings with you and your neighbours.

Discounts on the fee are available where tenements have more than ten properties.

A contract administration fee is charged on the cost of all repairs arranged and managed by ESP's surveyors. The fee is calculated as follows:

• 14% fee on first £25,000 of contract value
• 13% fee on any additional sum between £25,000 and £75,000
• 10% fee on any additional sum over £75,000

Repair costs are usually split on an equal share basis, unless the owners have agreed to divide costs based on a percentage ratio.

Ground floor properties may be excluded from common stair costs where the owners do not have access to the common stair.
