HMO Tenancy ManagementHMO Undertaking All people that undertake the day to day management of a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) are required to meet certain tenancy management standards and conditions. These ensure that the tenants have their rights protected, while giving the managers the tools to deal with problem behaviour. All managers will be required to sign and return an undertaking that they will abide by these standards. The undertaking the City of Edinburgh uses is based on the guidance produced by the Scottish Government. The Council have a produced and collated a number of forms and templates to aid managers in meeting the requirements of their Licence. Managers are encouraged to check their current lease against the model lease provided by the Council and either use this lease or ensure that the lease used is to the required standard.
