Not able to make it to the Town Hall meeting tonight?

Many thanks to everyone who took part in the initial stages of our consultation for the proposal to build a new school in Portobello Park. You gave us a lot to think about!

Questions were asked about traffic, parking, road safety, routes to school, finishes and materials, building height, community access, security, landscaping and much, much more.

Over the summer we've considered all the feedback we received. The plans and designs have developed further in light of what we were told and the questions raised.

With new images created, showing the building and landscape in more detail, we are at a point now where we can show how we've responded to the public's comments. Another series of exhibitions and events are in place to let people come along to see how the proposals have shaped up so.

Exhibitions

Portobello Library and Piershill Library : 23 August to 11 September

Drop in during library opening hours to see the designs or if you'd like to talk to someone about the project, come along to Portobello Library between 1pm and 5pm on 23 August.

Portobello Town Hall Exhibition:
Tuesday 24 August - 12.30pm to 6.30pm
Wednesday 25 August - 10.15am to 1.15pm and 5.30pm to 7pm

Drop in during the times noted to see the designs and speak to someone from the project

Portobello Town Hall Wednesday 25 August from 7pm to 9pm

Parents' Forum:Portobello High School Tuesday 7 September from 7pm

An opportunity for parents from Portobello High School and it’s associated primary schools to come along to see the designs, hear more about how the school will operate and to discuss related educational and management issues.

Portobello and Craigmillar Neighbourhood Partnership Wednesday 8 September

A project update will be on the agenda at this meeting to be held on Wednesday 8 September in the Hays Business Centre.
