Assembly Rooms

Located in the New Town, this beautiful 18th century building is one of Edinburgh's most attractive multi-purpose venues. The Assembly Rooms has 3 function rooms, and can be hired for a range of events including conferences, performances, weddings, ceilidhs and exhibitions and is well established as a major Fringe festival venue.

Music Hall

The Music Hall is our largest room and features an elaborate domed ceiling lit by crystal chandelier.
Floor area: 571 square metres Capacities:
Theatre style (Main floor): 550 people
Theatre style (Balcony): 198 people
Dinner dance: 300 people
Ceilidh dance: 500 people
Stage lighting. Basic PA. 100amp 3-phase electric supply.

Ballroom East/West Drawing Rooms

Three crystal chandeliers reflect in the full length mirror at either end of the Ballroom, dating from the 18th Century. A small stage can accommodate up to six people. At either end of the room is an ornate Drawing Room.
Floor area: 358 square metres.
Theatre style: 400 people
Ceilidh dance: 400 people
Dinner: 320 people
Basic PA system, 3-phase electric supply. Shutters on the windows for blackout.

The Supper Room

The smallest of our three function rooms, ornately decorated with crystal chandeliers, mirrored panels and parquet floor. The room is split-level with a marble bar counter on the upper area. Blackout is possible.
Floor area: 268 square metres
Capacities:
Theatre Style: 120 people
Dinner: 130 people
3-phase electric supply.
