Join us on Wednesday 4 August in the Grassmarket to play! Children, adults and families are welcome to part in a range of free play activities.

Activities will include:

• sand and water play
• wheeled play
• active play
• creative play den
  

Playday is about the importance of making time to play for all children, wherever they may play in Edinburgh.

Through holding the event at an urban Edinburgh location Playday showcases creative ideas to provide play for children that do not necessarily require expensive equipment nor a grassed surface - a challenge often faced by parents of children living in high rise accommodation. The concrete venue also shows the importance of striking a balance between play and risk, learnt through play.
