Other support for familiesThe Children and Families department offer a range of social services to support children, young people and their families. These include: Child and Family Centres - providing group care and pre-school education as well as support to families. Children's Rights Service - providing a service for looked after children and young people, representing their needs at meetings such as Children's Hearings or Looked After and Accommodated Children reviews. Day Care - giving support to children and families when most needed by offering respite, and advice on parenting, child development, routines and wellbeing. Family Group Decision Making service - arranging meetings to help a child who is having difficulties by bringing the family together to make plans and supporting those looking after them. Integrated Community Support - a direct alternative to accommodation to help young people remain in their own communities. Support for pregnant women who misuse drugs or alcohol - a multi-agency project providing intensive care to pregnant women.
