Trains in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is easily reached by train with East Coast operating a regular service between London (King's Cross) and Edinburgh (Waverley).  The journey normally takes between four and a quarter to four and three quarter hours.

First Scotrail operate the Caledonian Express sleeper service between Edinburgh (Waverley) and London (Euston).  

Virgin Trains also offer a cross-border service which follows a west coast route before arriving in Edinburgh.

Arriva Cross Country provide a service via the east coast main line between Edinburgh and many towns and cities in England.

Train travel from Edinburgh to destinations within Scotland is primarily provided by First Scotrail.
