- Edinburgh Equalities Network The Edinburgh Equalities Network is supported by The City of Edinburgh Council and our partners in NHS Lothian, Lothian and Borders Police Service and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. Any group, partnership, forum, organisation, agency, company or individual interested in equalities issues can join the Network.

- Equalities, Diversity and Human Rights Scheme 2009 - 2012 incorporates references to diversity and human rights and contains a corporate outcomes and action plan. The scheme will run from April 2009 to March 2012.
- Equalities Impact Assessment (EQIA) is a tool for identifying the potential impact of the Council’s policies, services and functions on its residents and staff. Follow the link for a list of completed departmental impact assessments.
- Multi - Equalities Scheme 2006 - 2009 Reporting Follow the link for reports on the Multi Equalities Scheme 2006 to 2009. This scheme is now replaced by the Equalities, Diversity and Human Rights Scheme 2009-2012.
- Equalities in Education for information on how the Children and Families Department is tackling accessibility, bullying, racism and all forms of discrimination in its establishments.
- Joint Health Improvement Plan for 2008 - 2011 describes work being done to improve health and tackle health inequalities in the city.
- The Interpretation And Translation Service (ITS) The Interpretation and Translation Service (ITS) provides interpretation and translation facilities in approximately 40 community languages as well as Braille, tape, large print and British Sign Language. You can access the service only through any Council department, the Health Service or any voluntary organisation.

This section includes links to the Equality Act 2010; the Government Equalities Office (GEO); the Equality and Human Rights Commission; the Scottish Human Rights Commission; Scottish Government Equalities; and, the Scottish Parliament's Equal Opportunities Committee.
