People with or affected by HIV, AIDS and HepatitisCity of Edinburgh Council provides or funds a number of support services for people living with or affected by HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis. These services are provided alongside those of NHS Lothian. Care Management Team Hep C and HIV (Blood Borne Viruses) If you are an adult who has been diagnosed with HIV, AIDS or Hepatitis C and have welfare issues, the Care Management Team may be able to help you to achieve a more independent and higher quality of life through its range of support services. Discharge from hospital A Social Worker in the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit of the Western General Hospital can advice patients on welfare issues (e.g. benefits and housing advice) when they are discharged from hospital. Information, emotional support and taking a break (respite) Waverley Care provides a range of information and emotional support services for people living in the community with HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis.
